Located at about 15 minutes by car or motorcycle from the town of El Limón, this beach has a particular charm. A great wooded lawn, golden sand, thousand color sea, small island in the middle of the bay, Cayo Limón, are the characteristics of this almost deserted and still wild beach, in spite of being so near a town.

And let’s not forget the historic interest: its sand hides an old cannon that according to the legend that has been passed by word of mouth, says that it is a piece of the Columbus armada… Look for it on the east side of the beach, by the shore near the rocks and the fishermen boats.

Getting to the beach is easy, but you’ll need a motorcycle or a 4-wheel drive car, because a small section of the road is in bad conditions. From the town of El Limón, take the road to the beach and follow it until the end. If doubtful, ask the children or people that live by the side of the road. If you’re unable to find proper transportation, then you can take the road to the beach on the outskirts of El Limón, on the Las Terrenas side, and continue to the river. There you can leave your car, to continue on foot. Then you must wade across the river and continue walking the path in between the vegetation until you reach the beach. The journey will take about 10 minutes.
